Today's ride was from Flagstaff,Az to Winslow,Az
The ride had an elevation change from 6900 ft to 4900 ft. The vegetation went from forest of Pines, Spruces, Firs, Aspens, to smaller pines and junipers to sage brush
The ride was very difficult. The wind was out of the southwest 25-35 mph with gusts over 50 mph. Most of the day I was traveling east or southeast. This was one time I was very grateful for the heavy bike. If I needed a drink of water I had to stop. There was no one-handed riding and drinking with the other.
