Then a climb up into timber country.
Upon arriving into Reedsport I stopped for late breakfast at a great little place called Harbor Light Restaurant. Reasonable prices, friendly people, and good food.
Winchester Bay has a large breakwall into its harbor. Above the harbor is a lighthouse
taken across the street from the lighthouse |
This picture is further up the hill. Note the top of the lighthouse. |
Along the road today I met two ladies from Great Britain that are cycling from Canada to Mexico in 3 weeks. That is a lot of miles per day
The motel I'm staying in has been painted by this guy. |
Tom Seino - Be prepared! Now that's being a good ole boyscout. Drywall screws are the worse. Ultra sharp tip, shaft shaped like an ice pick and hard... really hard. I'm surprised it bent and didn't just snap. And did the tire rubber wear out that much on this trip? So mahalo for the sets of more awesome photos of some great places. Maybe after a wee bit of rest after the end of this scenic bike ride, you may want to box up a beefy mountain bike and come on down to Maui and ride the 220 mile long King's Highway (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2015/02/17/kings-highway-daniel-sullivann6617920.html). Some of the sights here rival some of the Oregon coastline scenery. Or maybe you next be going to Great Britian to ride some more with the two Brit girls.
