Today's ride is from Newport to Florence. Not to far outside Newport I took this picture thinking I would caption it as "this isn't Cape Cod"  A typical picture that could have easly been taken on the Cape. But a later picture today, also wasn't taken on the Cape

you can see the marine layer off shore. In the morning it is close to the coast but quickly moves off shore as the sun gets higher

In Waldport there is a bike co-op. The people running it are all volunteers. They get donated bikes, fix them up if possible,  and donate them back to the community. If a bike is not repairable they strip it for parts. 

this is not on the Cape either :-)

In the town of Florence a small problem. I found a drywall screw with my back tire. 

went through the tire out the side wall and scrapped the rim. in other words trashed the tire and the inner tube

Good thing I had a spare tire and tube. Just a few more miles and I set up camp for the night.
