Blue Gull B&B |
After several smaller streets I ended up on a major road. A long uphill for a couple of miles with little or no sholder. When large semi's or big campers passed the wind suck they created really made the bike squarely. I'm glad I did not have these vehicles pass me on the downhill. I had very few views of the ocean because of the dense woods
You know that you are coming to a long hill when there are two signs a couple of hundred yards apart
I passed an ice cream / pizza place made up of old cabooses
I stopped at a bike shop in Sequim, WA to chech on the bike path to Port Angeles. I was informed of a bridge that was out, I was given a trails map and directions around the bridge. I also got directions to a Great sandwich shop. The shop only uses ingredients produced locally. They cure and or smoke all of the meets used in their sandwiches. I had a pastrami which was very good
On the way out of Sequim another unique mailbox
I picked up the bike path about 4 miles outside of town and followed it all the way to Port Angeles. The bike path went through a park where there was a small pond with 3 guys racing RC sailboats
Pictures from along the bike path
For about 7 miles to Port Angeles the bike path was right along the coast. |
