Elk City, OK to Hinton, OK

Sunday 6 May 2018

Today's route was from Elk City, OK to Hinton, OK

The ride today went through different scenery.  From the open plains to rolling hills.

In Weatherford, as I entered the town center I kept hearing country western music.  I was most of the way through town before I figured out where the music was coming from.  All of the light poles in town had speakers mounted on them.

An old Gas Station Cafe 4 miles east of Waterford

The next few pictures are from Route 66 between Waterford and Bridgeport.  A very scenic area.

Today, I met Eric.  He is from Switzerland. He is riding Route 66 from Chicago to Santa Monica.

The ride today was very enjoyable.  The first day in a long time with little or no wind.  The road had very little car traffic and great scenery.

Well that's a special level of hell I hope I never find myself in!

  2. I agree with “akhuffaker”—-that would be awful! Those nice rolling hills look like fun.
