Saturday 8 August

Today's ride was from Samuel P Taylor State Park to San Francisco. The ride was just over 30 miles. The road towards San Francisco is a very popular road for cyclists who to get out of the city and away from traffic lights.
Several large groups of cyclists passed goign in the opposite direction.
First glimpse San Francisco.

First View of the Golden State Bridge.

A view from the north side of the bridge.

From the north side. A steep hill to get up to the bridge.

There were hundreds of cyclists goin south to north. There was a temporary break so I stopped and took a couple of pictures.

From the south side.
I had made arrangements with someone with Warmshowers to stay at their house on Sunday, but I got to the city a day early. Nick and Eden were gracious enough to accept me into their apartment a day early.

  1. Butch - So, next year are you going to do the east coast? Say, from the Keys to Cape Cod?
