Friday 7 August

Today's ride was from Bodega Bay State Park to Samuel P Taylor State Park. The ride had lots of elevation gain for the day but for the most part the hills were rolling. The route went back into farm country.

About 5 miles into the ride I Stopped for breakfast.  When I got back on the road the young adults were just passing. A couple of miles they stopped to regroup.

The group leaders Abby and West.
and down the road near the top of one of the rollers.

The route followed Key Creek to Tomales Bay.
The next few pictures are of Tomales Bay.

The sun came out and it was a very plesent ride to Pt. Reyes Station. Sorry no pictures but a quaint small town with lots of small craft shops, restaurants, grocery store.  And I ran into Alba and Gerard again.

Next town was Olema that  a small general store with homemade ice cream. Yes, I had to stop and sample. Then another hill but the wind was helping. Over the top and onto a bike path.  A level path, no cars and sunshine which made a great end of the day ride.
This was to be the last night on the road for most of the people in the campground. Someone brouht party supplies

Hans and Liz.
Hans is in the process of cycling around the world. He is heading to Los Angeles to get on a container ship headind to New Zealand, cycly north and south islands, go to Australia and cycle around the continent then to Malaysia then cycle back to Germany.
