It's back to writing the blog after 8 days of no input. I have only been camping this past week with the exception of last Monday, the 3rd. I stayed in a motel in Fort Bragg with the intention of updating the blog.  Hot shower, laundry, and I had a late lunch / early dinner at a small Italian restaurant. After I got back to the room, heavy eyes took over and the blog update was forgotten. I slept for 11 hours.

Todays ride was from Eureka to Humbolt Redwoods State Park on the Avenue of the Giants. The ride started out in farm country. 

 The route started to follow the Eel River into the Redwoods

 The route exited from Hwy 101 and followed Avenue of the Giants

 A couple of miles along the Avenue there was a local produce stand. I was looking for peaches but I was told that the peaches would not be ripe for another week or so but they did have plums.  I bought a few. Then another fruit stand a 1/2 mile later with a sigh for Blackberry popsicles. I had to stop. They were great. They also had small yellow cucumbers they called salt n pepper cucumbers.  They gave me sample.  Very good so I bought a few.  The Avenue then paralleled the Eel River
