Daily City a few miles south of San Francisc |
lots of sand dunes along the way. Needed to be cautious because the wind would blow the sand across the bike lane. In some cases several inches deep. |
the last couple of hundred miles, there were these flowers along the roadside |
In Pacifica a coffee shop. Just in time for a caffeine boost. The area use to be a railroad yard. The lady in the caboose told me of another caboose in Half Moon Bay. |
Fog starting to roll in. |
Fog didn't bother the surfers. |
Point Montara Lighthouse |
And just fot Scott R., I had to stop by for a sandwich. I had a grilled cheese sandwich that had three types of mushrooms, two types of cheese and a raspberry compot. Very good. |
It looked like rain so I set my tent up under a hugh tree. Yes, I did put the rainfly on the tent. The yellow tent belongs to two German girls that are riding from San Francisco to Santa Barbara. They bought all their stuff at Walmart. They paid less than $100 each for their bicycles and the tent is a 4 man tent but it was the cheapest tent at Walmart. I met them again Sunday the 16th along the roadside. Picture of the girls there.
Walmart specials. |
